We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic person to join our team as a Shop Supervisor.

About us

Nightingale House Hospice provides specialist palliative care services, completely free-of-charge, to patients and their families across a wide area stretching from Wrexham, Flintshire, and East Denbighshire to Barmouth and the border towns including Oswestry and Whitchurch.

Nightingale House Hospices’ shops are the heart of the charity and our community. Raising vital funds and increasing public awareness of what we do. Our Shop Management team are pivotal for the success of our business and make a real difference.

The Role of our Supervisor

You will have previous retail experience potentially as a keyholder with a positive attitude and be able to motivate and inspire your colleagues. You must enjoy working for a fast-paced business, have a passion for great customer service, a flare for merchandising and be able to make commercial decisions which will maximise the income for the hospice.

You will work alongside the store management team to motivate a team of sales assistants and volunteers, encouraging them to bring new ideas and to build their knowledge of Nightingale House Hospice. In return you’ll be rewarded with autonomy in role and a supportive culture that encourages a healthy work life balance.

What we are looking for:

  • Relevant retail management experience
  • Experience of meeting targets and deadlines
  • Ability to work in a busy working environment
  • A cooperative team player who can engage with the local community
  • IT skills in MS Office and EPOS systems
  • Good communication and customer service skills and experience
  • Experience of leading and developing teams of volunteers
