Corporate Tax Assistant Position Overview

Tax Compliance Support:

Assist in the preparation and filing of corporate tax returns for a diverse portfolio of corporate clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws and regulations.

Gather and organize financial information and documentation for tax calculations and filings.

Tax Research and Analysis:

Conduct research on tax laws, regulations, and rulings to support tax planning and compliance efforts.

Analyze tax implications of business transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations.

Financial Analysis:

Assist in the preparation of tax provisions, deferred tax calculations, and tax accounting entries for financial statements.

Prepare tax schedules and workpapers to support tax provisions and disclosures.

Client Communication:

Communicate with clients to gather information, address inquiries, and provide updates on the status of tax filings and projects.

Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and issues are addressed promptly.

Team Collaboration:

Collaborate with colleagues across departments, including audit, advisory, and finance, to ensure seamless delivery of services and effective client management.

Support senior tax staff in various tax projects and initiatives, providing assistance as needed.

Corporate Tax Assistant Position Requirements
  • Fully or part qualified ACCA or ACA, though ATT or QBE are encouraged to apply, we would expect successful candidates to have at least 2 years' worth of experience working in a corporate tax environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Effective communication
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective use of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
