Our client is an Oxford based healthcare communications agency. Their job is to use their expertise in strategic healthcare communication to deliver engaging, insightful and impactful programmes to the healthcare community, predominantly doctors and other healthcare professionals.

As an Account Manager, you will be working alongside other account handlers and for all allocated projects, manage the process of delivering the administrative/logistical projects and communicate aspects of a project to internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities and duties

Results and delivery

  • Ensure a clear brief is received from the client and disseminated to the internal team
  • Deliver projects to the brief and within scope and budget
  • Build strong effective relationships with the clients and external thought leaders
  • Oversee and support the AE/JAM/AM on materials they develop
  • Brief and review freelance design and digital work to ensure that it is client ready
  • Ensure standard operating procedures (SOPs) for reviewing materials are adhered to
  • Proactively consider any problems that may arise when managing programmes and flag these to the account leads and or client where appropriate and make suggestions to overcome these
  • Ensure the team follow compliance procedures, GDPR and pharmaceutical codes of practice
  • Ensure compliance to all SOPs and Highfield house style
  • Ensure client and internal project team meetings occur and that project status reports, schedules, client agendas and meeting/call summaries are completed on time
  • Participate in/lead regular client teleconferences to review project status
  • Efficiently manage competing projects
  • Develop budgets for review with the account leads

Experience and skills

  • At least 2 years’ experience within medical communications
  • Able to lead client accounts
  • Organised with excellent time management skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Proactive and enthusiastic
  • Competent in MS Office including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
