This role of a Financial Modeller/ Analyst in the Not For Profit sector is integral to the Accounting & Finance department. The successful candidate will be part of a lovely team in Commercial Finance, working remotely.

Description

The role involves creating a flexible, dynamic Excel-based model that can adapt to various scenarios and organisational changes without relying on complex Visual Basic (VB) coding.

This model will be crucial for our three-year planning, enabling us to prioritise projects, assess investments, and align with our organisational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a robust bottom-up financial model linking hundreds of spreadsheets.
  • Consolidate financial data to analyse various scenarios, including potential increases in income.
  • Integrate BAU (Business As Usual) costs and adjust the model to account for changes in organisational size and FTEs (Full-Time Equivalents).
  • Identify and leverage key variables to project and plan for future organisational directives.
  • Analyse ROI (Return on Investment) for new store projects, CAPEX, and systems, ensuring alignment with our three-year strategic goals.
  • Distinguish between investment and non-investment items, streamlining their integration into the financial plans.
  • Create an agile Excel model that facilitates scenario planning and priority setting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather input and ensure model accuracy and relevance.

Profile

A successful Financial Modeller/ Analyst should have:

  • Proven experience in financial modelling, particularly in developing large, complex Excel-based models.
  • Qualified Accountant or Qualified By Experience ( QBE)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and manipulate large datasets.
  • Deep understanding of financial principles, ROI analysis, CAPEX, and investment planning.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • Daily rate of £350 per day via Umbrella Company/ £300pd PAYE
