Company Overview:
Our client offers a unique end-to-end service, covering needs assessment, solution definition, design, manufacture, installation, commissioning, and aftercare of water and wastewater treatment assets. They are expanding their delivery team and seeking a Mechanical Supervisor to cover the South and Midlands regions.

Duties & Responsibilities:
路Plan, supervise, and assist with on-site mechanical installation works for wastewater and water treatment plants, including scraper bridges and fabricated products.
路Ensure all activities are planned, coordinated, and conducted safely in compliance with standards, policies, and regulations.
路Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of systems to meet British, ISO, and client standards.
路Assist fitters and operatives with day-to-day site activities involving steelwork, pipework, etc.
路Liaise with project managers/engineers on project aspects.
路Induct onsite personnel, subcontractors, and visitors.
路Communicate method statements, risk assessments, and procedures to onsite personnel.
路Conduct toolbox talks and maintain training records.
路Address defects in plant and equipment promptly and ensure proper PPE is worn.
路Report accidents, incidents, and near misses to Project Manager/Engineer.
路Maintain good housekeeping and implement emergency plans when necessary.
路Liaise with internal/external safety officers and auditors during site inspections.
路Record and close non-conformances for projects.
路Apply industry best practices to ensure quality outcomes.
路Collaborate with colleagues, customers, suppliers, and contractors.
路Comply with Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Safe Systems of Work Plans.
路Complete daily reports and uphold company HSQE policies.
路Identify and promote new ideas and improvements.

Key Skills & Experience:
路Engineering/science qualification, ideally to HND/HNC/C&G level or equivalent.
路Minimum two years' experience in a similar role within utilities or M&E engineering.
路Experience in planning, supervising, and carrying out steelwork assembly, welding, and site mechanical works.
路Training/qualifications in coded welding, steel fixing, or similar.
路Strong focus on quality control and continuous improvement.
路Electrical awareness and training advantageous.
路Excellent communication skills.
路Experience within the UK water industry preferred.
路Willingness to travel regionally and nationwide, including overnight stays.
路Full driving licence.
