About the role
Title – Retail Security Officer
Pay Rate – £12.82 P/h
Location – Oxford
Shift Timings – 2 days 2 nights 4 off
You will be working in a well-known shopping centre, where you would be required to patrol the shopping centre in its entirety ensuring the operations run smoothly at all times whilst managing any issues or queries. As a security officer, your main role is to ensure the safety and security of both staff and visitors alike, by staying vigilant to any suspicious activity, follow ASCONE to ensure shoplifting is kept to a minimum, and deliver customer service to those who visit the store.

Your main responsibilities may include:
- Patrolling the shopping centre.
- Follow ASCONE
- Investigating Disturbances, as well as monitoring the entry and exit points of the retail store.
- Confidently calling for help in emergency situations and operating theft-detecting devices.
- Effectively dealing with large crowds and building positive customer relations.
To succeed in this role, you will need the following:
- SIA License.
- Minimum of 6 months experience in security is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of computers.
- 5-year checkable work/career history.
- Experience in a similar role, would an advantage
- Physically fit to undertake given tasks.
- Possess the ability to work under pressure.
