British Gymnastics has the following permanent full-time post:

Digital Learning Officer

37 hours per week

Salary range £26,699.00 to £28,183 per annum (dependent upon experience)

39 days annual leave (including Bank Holiday and Company days) + 2 wellbeing days a year + weekly exercise and wellbeing hours

This is a home-based role with occasional travel to Lilleshall National Sports Centre, near Newport, Shropshire.

Role Summary:

The primary purpose of this role is to be the main point-of-contact in regard to the maintenance, day-to-day workings and development of BG Academy; the learning management system hosted by the Learning & Development department within British Gymnastics. The secondary purpose of this role is to produce high-quality, innovative digital learning materials in support of the development of new courses, resources, tools and initiatives as part of the Design & Development team.

Main Areas of Responsibility:

  1. Maintain, develop and be accountable for the day-to-day running of the learning management system within British Gymnastics (BG Academy).
  2. Using modern methods to provide optimal learner experience, support the Learning Experience Manager in promoting and applying the Learning & Development strategic plan via contemporary and continuous learning
  3. .  Liaise and work with other members of the Learning & Development department, and other departments within the organisation, to continue the smooth day-to-day running of the L& D output and ultimately provide an uplifting experience for all involved with the sport.    

   

    • 1. Knowledge, Skills and Expertise

      This role requires the holder to possess:

      Essential

    • Experience in the day-to-day running of a learning management system.
    • Knowledge and experience of instructional design software (Articulate 360, H5P, Adobe Captivate, Kaltura).
    • Creative flair and a genuine interest in current design trends, emerging technologies and contemporary learning processes.
    • Acute attention to detail for accurate and timely production of work.
    • Skills in Microsoft Office, namely Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
    • Desirable

      Knowledge of graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite).
    • Prior knowledge and experience of graphic design for all forms of multimedia (digital and print). desktop publishing and the print industry supply chain.
    • Knowledge video editing & audio editing.
    • In addition, the role holder will need the ability to support their own administration (emails, setting up meetings where required based on the projects at hand). The role holder will manage their own workload, with the support of the Learning Experience Manager, based on the Design & Development teams priorities and projects set out by the Head of Learning Design & Research.
    • To be effective the role holder requires a sense of teamwork, as well as the ability to successfully influence and negotiate with colleagues across the business to aid the achievement of the Learning & Development Department aims and strategic priorities

This role requires the holder to plan and monitor their own work programme

This role requires the holder to work with the Learning Experience Manager and Head of Learning Design & Research to analyse and resolve a number of problems/issues

Whilst the role holder will generally work unsupervised, work is directed, managed and supported by the Learning Experience Manager.
