We are looking for a Senior Civils Construction Manager to work out of Cumbria on an initial year long contract.

You will be working as part of the ASPRO teams for a large Rail Infrastructure company.

 

Role Description

Lead and direct the construction delivery team in the delivery of projects to standards, quality and within budget.

 

Deliverables

-     Lead and direct the Construction works delivery team to achieve business and functional objectives and meet key performance measures for third-party investment projects.

-     Manage the development of individuals and the engagement of the team.

-     Manage the arrangements for staff safety and competence.

-     Identify and implement safety, asset performance, reliability, productivity and efficiency improvement initiatives.

-     Identify and submit non-compliances for approval and take appropriate action where required.

-     Manage the process of handover assets being renewed, installed, or modified by the delivery team.

-     Produce, review, amend, approve and submit to project teams the DWWP process for all project work.

-     Undertake investigations and report on accidents/incidents.

-     Identify training needs in safety and management areas for the personnel reporting to the post holder and contribute to their personal development.

 

 

Skills/ Experience:

Essential  

-        Relevant technical competence.

-        Experience in maintenance/construction management, processes and techniques.

-        Knowledge of safety and compliance management processes.

-        Detailed knowledge of relevant standards and procedures.

-        10 years’ experience of operational railway environment.

-        Knowledge of other functional disciplines.

-        Local Accident & Incident Investigation.

-        Good interpersonal, influencing, communication and organisation skills.

-        Yellow Book Trained.

-        Commercial Awareness.

 

 

Desirable  

-        Incorporated Engineer.

-        Membership of a professional body.

-        NEBOSH Certificate.
