Are you a skilled professional looking to advance your career in procurement within the steel fabrication industry? We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Buyer. As a key member of our procurement department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials for our steel fabrication projects.
Responsibilities:
- Source and procure high-quality materials at competitive prices.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favourable terms.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment.
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand project requirements.
- Evaluate supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships.
Requirements:
- CIPS qualification or actively working toward certification.
- Proven experience in procurement, preferably within the steel fabrication industry
- Strong negotiation skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and procurement software
