Join a dedicated team committed to supporting adults with learning disabilities to achieve independent living. Our service focuses on providing care at home and supported living options for individuals, with a particular emphasis on promoting independence and quality of life.

Job Description: We are seeking caring, compassionate, and reliable Support Workers to join our team. Our service supports 23 individuals who live either with their parents, within HMOs, or in their own properties. The role involves providing care and support, including sleepovers (3-11 + sleep + 7-3 shifts), and occasional trips and holidays away.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing high-quality care and support to adults with learning disabilities.
  • Assisting with daily living activities and promoting independence.
  • Working collaboratively with service users, their families, and other professionals.
  • Following care plans and ensuring individual needs are met.
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns or incidents.
  • Undertaking lone working from 6pm onwards.
  • Driving service users to appointments and activities (driver's license required).
  • Administering medication in accordance with policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in care or support work preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and sleepovers.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate and patient approach to supporting vulnerable individuals.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and access to own vehicle.
  • Car drivers with own car preferred
  • Good Communication skills
