H&S Safety Coordinator - Industrial and Commercial projects - based in Peterborough
A highly respected, privately owned, Building Services provider has an exciting new vacancy for a Health & Safety Coordinator to be based in their office on Peterborough, Cambridgeshire.As the Health & Safety Coordinator you will assist the co-ordination and implementation of Health & Safety policies and practices, working across all operations in the business. You will provide support for all activities related to the maintenance of health & safety, compliance and environmental. This a great opportunity for someone with a real interest in Health & Safety who wants to develop their H&S career, with training and qualifications offered.As the H&S Coordinator you would be responsible for:路 Supporting the processes the Company needs to meet its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety, and welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting.路 Support the development of health & safety policies, systems of work and procedures.路 Support and promote a safe workplace environment without risk to health.路 Carrying out daily reviews to ensure RAMS have been produced and in place for work operations carried out by directly employed staff and Sub Contractors.路 Assist the Health & Safety Adviser to ensure that, should an accident occur, it is documented, investigated, and recommended improvements implemented.路 Maintain records and statistics relating to health and safety training, hazard and Near Miss reporting, accidents and incidents.路 Ensure full and accurate health and safety and training records are maintained.路 Assist with various annual accreditation renewals and PPQs.路 Participate in meetings when required to report on relevant health & safety matters.路 Assist with the scheduling of our fleet maintenance/service & repairs. Successful applicants will have the following qualifications and experience:路 Experience of coordinating, implementing Health & Safety requirements, policies, and procedures.路 Professional approach, coupled with strong interpersonal skills.路 Good planning, organisational and time management skills.路 Good verbal and written communication skills.路 Strong IT skills.路 Ability to work in and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.路 Ability to recognise and escalate issues.
