Trainee Composite Laminator

Position: Trainee LaminatorSalary: £26,000 - £30,000Location: Peterborough, CambridgeshireHours: Monday - Friday (7.30am - 4pm)Interaction is working closely with a highly reputable manufacturing company located in Peterborough. Due to an expansion in the business they are looking to expand it laminating team. If you have basic laminating experience or are looking to get into a highly desirable industry this is the role for you. You will need to read and understand lay-up drawings and use your laminating skills to carry out the required workload to the lay-up specification. You will also need to utilise your skills to query any error or change that you may observe on any job. The Position: Preparing moulds ready for gelRead and understand lay-up specificationsApplication of gel coatPerform a range of laminating processesIdentify laminating defectsUse of core materials and generic bonding pastesRelease of simple mouldsUse and control of patterns and jigsUse of a wide range of fabrics, CSM and cloths in dry and pre-preg formatsRecord daily time spent on jobs on timesheetREQUIRED KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:Attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasksGood team player and excellent communicatorA thorough understanding of laminating and associated processes including those mentioned above which may include trimming and grindingUnderstanding of quality processes2+ years experience gained within the Marine, Aerospace, Automotive or other quality driven industry is preferable.Interaction Recruitment have specialist consultants across most industries within the UK, including but not limited to, Finance & IT, Technical & Engineering, Industrial, Commercial and Hospitality.
