Mechanical Fitter

Mechanical Fitter/Assembler-Ongoing contractHourly rate negotiableMonday-Friday 7:30am-4pm.The company:You will be joining a national leader in the water treatment solutions industry, part of a team responsible for the maintenance on site of large plant and mobile units.Due to large expansion, the company is now looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter/Technician to join and be part of their manufacturing/maintenance team to join in an ongoing contract role.Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Mechanical Fitting & Assembly of machine components
• Assembling, installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical components to create functioning equipment.
• Refurbishment and fabrication of parts and equipment
• Able to work individually or within a team of qualified fitters, fabricators/welders, and electricians.

This is just a summed-up list of responsibility and other duties will be required.Skills and Experience required:

• Experience in a mechanical fitter/ assembler role
• Ability to work to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience with PVC and stainless-steel pipework, valves, and fittings
• TIG/MIG welding experience is highly desirable.
