Maintenance Plumber

Position: Maintenance Plumber

Location: Peterborough, UK

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (08:00 - 17:00)

Responsibilities:

• Perform plumbing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive works across three secondary schools in Peterborough.
• Conduct testing of plumbing installations, including piping and fixtures.
• Immediately report and address any potentially hazardous situations, escalating to line management as necessary.
• Manage monthly workload using PDA handheld device and familiar with Maximo or similar asset management software.
• Ensure timely completion of all associated paperwork.
• Participate in a rolling callout rota.

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

• Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
• Hold a recognized plumbing trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 (theory and practice) in a relevant Plumbing discipline with industry experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with customers and colleagues.
• Valid driving license required.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
• Able to obtain enhanced DBS clearance due to working in the vicinity of children.
