Position: Maintenance Plumber
Location: Peterborough, UK
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (08:00 - 17:00)
Responsibilities:
- Perform plumbing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive works across three secondary schools in Peterborough.
- Conduct testing of plumbing installations, including piping and fixtures.
- Immediately report and address any potentially hazardous situations, escalating to line management as necessary.
- Manage monthly workload using PDA handheld device and familiar with Maximo or similar asset management software.
- Ensure timely completion of all associated paperwork.
- Participate in a rolling callout rota.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
- Hold a recognized plumbing trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 (theory and practice) in a relevant Plumbing discipline with industry experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with customers and colleagues.
- Valid driving license required.
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
- Able to obtain enhanced DBS clearance due to working in the vicinity of children.
