Mechanic

We are looking for Vehicle Mechanbic to join our client's busy auto body shop based in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire.

The job in a nutshell

Salary: £22.00 per hour

Day Shift: 8am- 5pm

Monday to Friday

Peterborough, Cambridgeshire

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
• Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components
• Conduct vehicle testing and ensure proper functioning
• Follow manufacturer repair procedures and guidelines
• Document all work performed and maintain accurate records

• Proven experience as a mechanic
• Valid driver's licence
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment
• Strong attention to detail
• Good problem-solving skills

Relevant vocational qualification in automotive mechanics

Minimum of 2 years working as a mechanic

• Thorough understanding of vehicle systems and components
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficiency in using computer diagnostic systems

• Additional certifications in automotive technology - Level 2/3
• Experience working with hybrid and electric vehicles
