Working Hours: 40 hours per week, including some out-of-hours work for ecological surveys.

About the Ecologist role:
- We're seeking a full-time Ecologist to join our dedicated in-house Environmental team on a permanent basis.
- You'll play a vital role in implementing our Environmental Strategy, conducting ecological studies across various projects and environments.
- Responsibilities include Ecological Site Surveys, Preliminary Ecological Assessments, Ecological Impact Assessments, and Habitat Regulation Assessments.
- Lead and assist with Protected Species Surveys, data collation, report production, and mitigation measure design.
- Mentor Assistant Ecologists and support their professional development goals.
About You:
- Share our company's ethos and values and be eager to advance your Ecology career in a commercial setting.
- Previous experience in a similar role, including assessments such as PEAs and site surveys, is essential.
- Good understanding of UK protected species and relevant wildlife legislation, ideally holding or working towards survey class licences and Associate CIEEM membership.
- Strong analytical skills, report-writing experience, and familiarity with GIS or mapping software.
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions and flexible with out-of-hours work for ecological surveys.
