Are you a strong Quality Engineer with NPI and Industrialisation experience? Are you comfortable working in a fast-paced environment? Have you worked in an automotive or tier 1 manufacturing environment? If so, our client, a tier 1 automotive supplier, is recruiting for a Quality Engineer for their site in North Yorkshire.Quality EngineerPermanent£60,000 - £65,000Monday – Thursday 8.15am – 5.15pmFriday 8.15am – 1.15pm North YorkshireQuality EngineerJob Description - Review of customer RFQ packs, specifications and requirements to ensure that they are fully understood and appropriately costed in terms of DV, PV and in-process testing
- Creation and maintenance of PFMEA’s, co-ordinating multi-disciplinary teams
- Creation and updates to Process Flow documentation and Control Plans
- Promoting the use of customer preferred techniques including Poka-Yoke (error proofing) and Measurement System Analysis
- Participation in cross-functional teams during the development of new products or engineering changes
Quality EngineerEssential Experience/Skills/Qualifications - Demonstrated knowledge of quality systems, measurement methods and statistical analysis tools
- Strong knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
- Previous experience working within a high-volume manufacturing environment, with plastic injection moulding, painting and associated assembly processes a distinct advantage
