Job Title: Site Project Manager - Civil Engineering

Location: Plymouth, United Kingdom
Salary: 50,000 - 65,000 per annum
Role Overview: As a Site Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing a variety of civil engineering projects from inception to completion. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are delivered safely, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of site operations, including planning, organizing, and coordinating resources to ensure project delivery according to schedule and budget.
- Lead and motivate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve project objectives while maintaining a strong focus on health and safety.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to communicate project progress, address issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Implement and enforce quality control procedures to uphold the company's reputation for excellence in construction.
- Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, risk assessments, and method statements.
- Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation measures to minimize project disruptions and delays.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the project team.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role within the civil engineering sector, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- CSCS card required; SMSTS and First Aid certifications are essential.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams and build positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Sound technical knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices, with a focus on road infrastructure, drainage, flood prevention, and groundworks.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in civil engineering or a related field is desirable but not essential.
