About the Role:

The Energy Division at ARM is currently seeking an Engineering Manager to join a Leading Nuclear Defence Business

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with the design managers to ensure that engineering outcomes are achieved in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Providing technical expertise and guidance to the engineering team to ensure that all work meets the required standards and specifications.
  • Monitoring and reporting on the progress of engineering activities, identifying any issues or delays, and proposing solutions.
  • Liaising with key stakeholders, including project managers and the supply chain, to ensure that engineering requirements are understood and met.
  • Supporting the development of engineering processes, procedures, and best practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Contributing to the development of risk assessments and mitigation strategies to ensure that all engineering work is conducted safely.
  • Keeping up to date with industry developments and best practices in engineering to ensure that the team remains current and competitive in their field.

What you need to succeed:

  • Engineering / STEM Background and degree, or equivalence
  • Strong technical leadership/project management background
  • Experience in highly regulated industries such as oil & gas
  • Evidence of active stakeholder management and positive communication skills
  • Nuclear experience desirable
