The successful HR Business Partner will be commercially minded, interacting on a regular basis with various key managers, supporting them in delivering the strategic business plan and the development and use of policies and systems which are aligned to the business needs. As the business looks ahead, the HR Business Partner will be incredibly important in driving a positive company culture across a range of teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver an operational HR service to all business areas, to include; recruitment and retention, Data & Systems, learning & development, case management and performance management.
  • Promote a professional and effective HR service, ensuring that the role of HR Business Partner is conducted to the highest standard.
  • To partner with senior HR colleagues in the implementation of the strategic HR plans, projects, and initiatives to positively add value to both the organisation and staff.
  • To lead on any specific change programmes ensuring that the business leaders are supported, guided, and advised throughout to successful completion.
  • To oversee the provision of a professional recruitment & selection offer.
  • To provide high-level people management, development and support to leaders of all levels within the organisation.
  • To support the organisation’s strategy and plans for employee engagement and wellbeing. Whilst being a positive advocate and displaying the behaviours expected.
  • Provide pragmatic advice, assistance and support to business leaders and managers in all areas of HR e.g. disciplinary, capability and grievance issues, recruitment and training.
  • Collaborate with learning & development colleagues to ensure that staff are equipped with the current and future skills and knowledge required.
  • To be responsible for your own continuous professional development to meet the changing demands of the post and legislation including participation in learning events.

Essential Experience / Qualifications and Attributes Required:

  • CIPD Level 5 or relevant workplace experience within a busy HR environment at HRBP level.
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development.
  • Understanding and working knowledge of a HR Information System.
  • Thorough and up to date knowledge of employment law and HR practice.
  • Good knowledge of the principals of business partnership and what that means for HR professionalism.
  • Proficient in the use or Microsoft packages.
  • Ability to produce useful reports, including reports from digital data sources.
  • Methodical and organised approach with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to process “quick turnaround” tasks.
  • Proven ability to juggle competing priorities and manage fluctuating workloads.
  • Use appropriate initiative within the bounds of job responsibilities.
