About the Role:
The Energy Division at ARM is currently seeking a Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a Leading Nuclear Defence Client
Key responsibilities include:
- Collate pre-tender infrastructure estimates and cost planning.
- Prepare cost input for Monthly Reports to client and Project Management
- Review and develop cost plans produced by subcontractors.
- Support in contract negotiation and minimize variance.
- Maintain control baselines for costs and profitability with periodic updates.
- Identify deviations and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist in compiling cost control procedures.
- Monitor and report on subcontract costs and future trends.
- Prepare forecasts of future costs and review subcontractor claims
- Evaluate subcontract claims up to delegated financial authority.
- Input into business case generation and spend profiles.
- Utilize tools to support project forecasting, including Earned Value
- Perform any other duties as required.
What you need to succeed:
- MCIOB, MRICS, or equivalent preferred.
- Working towards RICS chartership.
- No nuclear obligations
- Demonstrable quantity surveying experience in a construction environment,
- NEC contracting experience.
