We are looking for someone to join the team at a dynamic and inclusive secondary school committed to providing a supportive learning environment to students.   • Role: SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Days: 5 days a week
  • Salary: £85 per day

Responsibilities

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support Students: Work closely with students who may exhibit challenging behaviour, providing guidance and encouragement.
  • Boosting Confidence: Your encouragement and guidance will empower students to reach their full potential. Whether it’s helping them overcome obstacles or celebrating their achievements, you’ll make a lasting impact.
  • Promote Positive Behaviour: Implement strategies to promote positive behaviour and create a safe and respectful classroom environment.
  • Collaborate: Work alongside teachers, parents, and other staff members to develop individualised learning plans.
  • Assist in Classroom Management: Help maintain order in the classroom, ensuring a conducive learning atmosphere.
  • Provide Emotional Support: Be a compassionate listener and mentor for students facing behavioural challenges.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Previous experience working with students in an educational setting is desirable.
  • Patience and Empathy: A genuine interest in supporting students’ emotional well-being.
  • Effective Communication: Strong communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and parents.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to different student needs and situations.
