Zest Recruitment and Legal Consultancy have an excellent opportunity for a Legal Cashier to join a well established law firm based in Pontypridd (with onsite parking).
In this role you will provide a high level of support to the Practice Manager in the provision of Financial Services and ensuring the Firm’s compliance with the SRA whilst helping protect the Firm and its clients from money laundering and fraud.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising junior members of the accounts department
- Processing Worldpay
- Dealing with any external and internal queries
- Ensuring compliance with SARs, money laundering and VAT regulations
- Input and approval of CHAPS and BACS payments
- Client and office transfers
- Daily printing of cheques
- Daily banking of cash and cheques
- Processing credit notes and write offs
- Processing bills
- Processing searches (including land registry, 7 sides)
- Services bank reconciliation on a weekly basis
Experience Required:
- Recent practical experience of Legal Accounts environment.
- Working knowledge of accounting principles.
- Working knowledge of computers and legal software with good keyboard skills.
- Working knowledge of Solicitor Accounts Rules.
