Job Title:  Maintenance Surveyor 

Location:  South Wales – Rhondda  

Contract:  Temporary Contract 6 months

Hours:       37 per week Monday – Friday

Rate:         £22 basic, £24.76 holiday, £27.80 umbrella BRC are working with a Housing Association who are recruiting a Maintenance Surveyor to join their Property Services team on a temporary contract basis due to increased workload and a large project they are currently running.     This role is based in Pontypridd and working up in Hirwaun for the project work. The job offers hybrid working including home working.  Key Responsibilities:
  • Completing stock condition surveys – full property surveys including roofs, windows, retaining walls, kitchen, and bathroom refurbs. You will be provided a tablet to complete these.
  • Monitoring work on site relating to RAAC and Artex, completing regular site inspections and managing contractors on site.
  • Working alongside 2 other surveyors.
  • To create bespoke specifications of work for quotation purposes.
  • Liaise with other external agencies e.g., Local Authority Environmental Health Teams and internal teams in the organisation.
Role Specifications:
  • Degree, Trade background or equivalent experience. 
  • Detailed knowledge of building construction and maintenance. 
  • Experience of working in a housing association environment.
  • Computer literate. 
  • Good understanding of the health and safety requirements that affect the operation and management of housing maintenance services.
  • Ability to work alone without close supervision and as part of a team.
