Engineering Administrator – new permanent job vacancyThe job - Engineering Administrator (Sales Order Processing)Working on the premises of a well-established precision engineering business, your skills and experience of working as an administrator in a similar environment will be just what we’re looking for to play an important role in the smooth manufacturing and delivery of high quality, premium precision engineered components which are supplied to specialist customers across the globe.Jobs don’t come up often with this company. People are happy, pay is good, the management team are encouraging, the quality of the products being produced is very high indeed, the working environment is modern smart and clean.Your duties as Engineering Administrator will be split broadly into four areas of responsibility:
  • Sales Order Processing
    • Process customer purchase orders
    • Generate and maintain Sales Orders
    • Raise contract reviews as necessary
    • Update part prices as necessary
  • Stock Control
    • Pick stock ready for sales
    • Issue stock for assemblies and kits
    • Receipt of finished parts to stock
    • Assist in end of year stock take process)
  • Dispatch
    • Create dispatch notes to ship parts to customers
  • Job Card Closing and Processing
    • Close job cards when 100% complete
    • Scan and file job cards when complete
Skills and experience you’ll need for this Engineering Administrator job
  • Ability to work with Microsoft suite of programs, especially Excel
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Ideally experience of working in a similar environment
Reporting to the department manager, your job as Engineering Administrator will see you working on a precision engineering factory site. You will be working mostly from an office carrying out administrative tasks within a small team and the job will also involve some picking and checking stock.
