Halcyon Care Dorset are excited and proud to be working with a locally run disability charity that has been running since 1955, formed by a group of parents intent on providing better opportunities for their children with physical and learning disabilities.

We are recruiting for an incredibly exciting position as a Day lead Support Worker working either 37.5hours per week over 3 days or 45 hours per week over 4 days.  This role will be working across two services. One is a residential home for children and young people, the other is respite service for young people both with Learning disabilities. 

As the Day Lead Support Worker you have the opportunity to demonstrate your skills to lead and will be responsible for ensuring positive outcomes and the continual safety, health and well-being of the children, young people and young adults using Children's services.  Providing domicillary support to those who access the services and overseeing the running of the short stay home and the transition respite home.

Due to the current needs of the charity it is a necessity that you have sound knowledge and experience leading a team in a health and social setting, hold a full UK driving license as you may have to transport a young person or child in the charities vehicles and or use your own vehicle.  Basic numeracy and literacy skills are a requirement.
