Manpower are recruiting Mechanical Engineers offering immediate starts in Port Talbot

Our client is a wo modern European production plant that offer expertise, innovation and tooling developed in-house and are fully equipped to handle any packaging requirements.

The successful candidate will have the following pre requisites;

Mechanical Engineer - Temp to perm for the right candidate
Qualifications

  • HNC/HND Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. (desirable)
  • 5 or more GCSEs (or equivalent) at A-C grade which will include English, Mathematics and Science. (essential)
  • Time served mechanical apprenticeship. (essential)
  • Counterbalance forklift licence. (advantageous - not essential

Experience

  • Experience in FMCG
  • Previous experience in a BRC Certified workplace. (desirable)
  • Machining and Welding (desirable)
  • Previous experience reacting to mechanical breakdowns

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance.
  • Respond to breakdowns quickly and efficiently
  • Diagnose faults and repair equipment
  • Upkeep of reports and records
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.

  • Hands on Approach

  • Good communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels

The vacancy is full time working a continental shift pattern (average 43 hour week)
