Plant Technician (with Welding experience)

The Recruitment Co is currently recruiting for an experienced Plant Technician (with Welding experience). This an exciting opportunity to join an Internationally recognised Manufacturer in the Nutritional Supplement Industry.

Contract: Permanent

Salary: Up to 40k per annum

Hours of work: Full time, two shifts, Monday to Friday. Rotating between Mornings 6am - 2pm and Afternoons 2pm - 10pm plus overtime as required.

The purpose of this position is to support the Engineering Manager in the day to day running of the production area and associated plant and services.

We are looking for the successful candidate to have the following skills and experience:

• Mechanical bias with some electrical/controls experience - pressure and temperature transmitters etc
• Pneumatics/pressure systems
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and P&ID drawings
• Vacuum systems
• Freeze drying
• Steam
• Chilled water and refrigeration
• Chemical dosing systems
• General fitting and fabrication
• Welding (mainly TIG)
• Health and safety aware
• Some working at height
• Some confined space work
