Multi Skilled Technician

Full-time - Permanent

Location: Portsmouth, Hampshire

Salary: 35,000 - 40,000

We are seeking a dedicated Multi Skilled Technician to join our team. This role involves maintaining, fault-finding, testing, inspecting, and repairing Mechanical and Electrical equipment across a variety of plant. Day to Day of the role:

Ensure compliance with planned maintenance schedules.

Maintain, diagnose, repair, modify, configure, and commission low voltage switchgear, motor drives, valves, gas dosing equipment, pneumatic plant, pumps, and motors.

Monitor asset performance and operability at water treatment works, pumping stations, and reservoirs.

Collect asset health and performance data, recording routine activities and work completed.

Respond to breakdowns on a range of M&E plant, assess problems, and carry out repairs.

Maintain and calibrate equipment to manufacturers' specifications ensuring audit compliance.

Supervise team members, assisting with their development and learning.

Exchange information with other team members, plant operators, and departments within the company as required.

Complete documentation accurately and in a timely manner to maintain internal change control standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

A recognised apprenticeship in a relevant field.

A recognised technical qualification in a relevant field.

BS7671 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.

Relevant experience in a process and industrial environment.

Experience in diagnosing and fixing complex M&E system faults.

Experience working with HMI / touchscreen devices.

Knowledge of Chemical Handling.

Knowledge of basic hydraulic principles.

Proficient in working from electrical drawings.

A good understanding of water treatment processes and/or water industry exposure.

Full UK driving licence.
