*** Due to the nature of the role and the industry you will be working in, you will be required to achieve UK SC Clearance ***We are looking for a Senior Operator to join the team, you can be based any of the locations mentioned above & you will work alongside a team of like-minded dedicated ex-submariners utilising whole boat experience from operating the fleet, including Damage Control and Submarine Escape and Rescue. What you'll be doing -Provide specialist Operability design support to all current programmesUndertake Operability tasks in support of the Company's programmesProduce evidence in support of qualification, legislative requirements and safety justifications and provide specialist support for associated activitiesBe able to access, have a clear understanding of and apply the Quality and HS&E Management System documentation e.g. Process Instructions, Workmanship Standards, Risk Assessments etc… applicable to your particular work scope and to obey all HS&E rules and control measuresReviewing/assessing the developing SSN-AUKUS Submarine design to ensure it is safe, operable, and habitable by its crew. This will be achieved through attendance at design reviews, review of the 3D CAD model, review of design documentation, and participation in experimental design and user trials, provision of design guidance and sharing of SQEP knowledgeProviding specialist support to safety activities e.g., HAZID, HAZOPS, ALARP Optioneering workshopsProviding specialist support to Operating Documentation Production Authority in support of OPDOC derivation and verificationYour skills and experiences -Experienced in one of the following disciplines (Astute preferred): CAT A/B Supervisor/Reactor Panel Operator/METOW/Control Desk Operator, CAT B Senior Ships Systems maintainer - Relevant Experience and knowledge across any of the following disciplines: Ship & Propulsion Systems, Electrical Generation & Distribution, Platform systems and/or Whole Boat ActivitiesA general understanding of the manufacturing, assembly, commissioning and testing processes used within the businessBasic understanding of the challenges posed by the environment that the product will be exposed toKnowledge of the capabilities and the most appropriate uses of specialised analysis toolsKnowledge or at least recognition of relevant engineering standards (including safety and environmental regulations)
