Our client is seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual to join the team as a Marketing Assistant, with an emphasis on managing the founding team's personal and leadership brands.

They are a rapidly expanding Marketing Agency based in Portsmouth. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing start-up that is on track to become an industry leader. Working from our newly refurbished offices in Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth, you will be responsible for supporting the Marketing team in developing and implementing strategies that align with the business objectives. You will support marketing plans, brand strategy and brand awareness both internally and externally. You will also support the management of our websites, as well as creating and managing engaging content for our digital channels.

Main duties as the Marketing Assistant include:

  • Managing personal brands for the three co-founders, as well as other senior members of the group. You will be expected to create thought-leadership content, positioning them as experts in their respective industries.
  • Supporting the marketing team to drive strategies and develop and implement marketing plans that are aligned to the strategic business objectives
  • Create effective content for current digital channels, as well as exploring opportunities to maximise digital awareness of the brand
  • Support the management of the company website, including blog writing, site copy, imagery and SEO
  • Support the implementation of the company's internal communications strategy
  • Track social and web analytics, monitor budgets and communicate results effectively
  • Support wider business in all marketing activities including content creation, events and branding
  • Maintain brand consistency across all traditional and digital assets
  • Other marketing-related duties where necessary

Experience/Skills required

  • Experience in similar role preferred
  • Marketing-related qualifications, including degree-level or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of personal branding, thought leadership and LinkedIn content creation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office
  • Experience with Adobe Suite
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing including social media marketing and website
  • Experience working to deadlines, either as a team or as an individual
  • Great attention to detail
