My client, a well-established creative agency with a strong client base is looking for a talented new Studio Manager to lead and nurture their creative team of designers. This will involve planning, managing, scheduling and budgeting of all creative work, ensuring briefs are seen through to completion in line with customer and business demands and deadlines

Your role will involve:

  • Participating in kick off meetings, leading to qualify and question project briefs before agreeing key milestones with Design team members
  • Providing clear, detailed estimates for clients briefs, understanding fully their requirements and suggesting improvements where appropriate
  • Maintaining/updating scheduling system for the Design team, ensuring it is kept up to date & 100% accurate
  • Gaining understanding of the skills, knowledge, abilities and current client relationships of the team available, allocating briefs based on strengths and skills as appropriate
  • Keeping track of amount budgeted in costs sheets vs project budget
  • Monitoring project progress to ensure timely delivery and an excellent service to clients
  • Maintaining a positive team attitude and ensuring that all designers under your management are aligned with company goals
  • Updating procedures as and when appropriate to improve the studio working practices

You will be the ideal candidate due to your:

  • Degree educated in a Design subject or similar
  • Minimum 2 years similar experience in a Design Agency
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Strong understanding of design for print
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (verbal & written)
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and multi task
  • Ability to engage, challenge and motivate designers
  • High attention to detail
  • Ideally project Management training/skills
  • Previous management experience
