We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Trainee Production Operative / Manufacturing General Operatorwho has an eye for detail, a willingness to learn new skills and good written and verbal communication skills.

Working as a Trainee Production Operative / Manufacturing General Operator you will assist and support different teams within the company, especially during busy times when everyone is expected to help out.

As the Trainee Production Operative / Manufacturing General Operator you will have the opportunity to work in all areas of the business as and when required, such as Despatch, Screen Printing, Metal & Metal Finishing, Plastic Finishing, Doming & Digital Print Departments undertaking various operative duties for which full training will be provided.

This is a great opportunity to pick up new skills within a print manufacturing environment.

DUTIES

Once trained your duties as the Production Operative / Manufacturing General Operator include:

• Assist supporting in the day-to-day Production Operations in all areas of the business

• Daily use of the company computer to maintain accurate records

• Keep the working area clean and tidy and free of hazards as per the company’s Health & safety Policy, reporting any potential dangers to the Operations Manager as soon as they arise

• Promote the importance of Health & Safety within the Workplace and escalate any H&S issues to managers or the Planning & Production Manager

• Administration support during peak/high volume periods there will be a need to support other parts of he business to meet operation/business objectives

• Assist the General Production Operators with various duties on the shop floor

• Assist set up and operation of various Machines

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Accuracy, diligent with good written & verbal communication skills

• Highly organised with a strong eye for detail

• Able to work either as part of a team or on own initiative

• Strong communication skills at all levels

• Strong Team Player with a "Can do" attitude

• Proficient Computer Skills (all aspects of Microsoft Office) and other computer-based databases

• Be prepared to undertake any Internal & External Training as and when required

• To be flexible as possible with working hours at times of heavy workload

• General interest in the Printing Industry highly desirable
