Job Title: Production Line Operative

Location: Kitling Road, Prescott, Knowsley

Pay Rate: £14.89

Hours per week: Variable Shift Rota - 18:00 - 06:00, 06:00 - 18:00 - 46 hours per week 

Shift times: 6-week cycle over a 5-day period days and nights - 06:00 - 18:00 and 18:00 - 06:00

Job Overview

As a Line Operative at our printing facility, your primary responsibility will beoverseeing all activities on the print finishing line. Your role involves organizing staff and materials to ensure smooth and efficient operations. From the unwind station to the palletiser and inclusive ancillary equipment, you'll ensure effective operation throughout. In the event of production stoppage or equipment breakdown, you'll provide first-line response and remedial action, If you're proactive, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete comprehensive pre-run line checks, set up procedures and post run checks.
  • Ensure production speeds and the operation of the finishing line is sustained to meet distribution schedules.
  • Provide first line response to all production stops on the finishing lines, carry out remedial actions to return the line back to a running state.
  • Clearing jams, blockages, fixing minor machine faults quickly and efficiently to minimise disruption to production.
  • Ensure all relevant reports/documents are completed.
  • Responsible for the quality and standard of all products manufactured on the finishing line, ensuring the finished product meets the customer specification
  • Ensure good housekeeping practices within the department
