Resourcery Group are delighted to be working with one of the most up and coming bsuinesses in the Liverpool area.
Due to growing demand we are in search of a Health and Safety Technician to join their on-site team. This is a permanent role and will report to the HR Manager.
Job purpose:
- Responsible for promoting a culture of safety across all aspects of our operations. You will work closely with management, employees, and contractors to identify and mitigate potential risks, delivering and organising training and fostering a safe working environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the company from the Health and Safety perspective, delegating responsibilities, coaching members, and identifying training where required to improve performance.
- Manage, review and implement H&S procedures for the UK.
- Support the development of safety standards, processes, and improvement areas.
- Organise training and ensure training matrix are kept updated.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards within a factory and an office setting.
- Take the lead in the event of incidents, near misses and/or accidents. Ensure that events are appropriately investigated, that the findings are documented and that the improvements/changes are implemented.
- Assist HR with the management of Occupational Health aspects of the business to ensure all hazardous operations are addressed.
- Liaise with occupational health providers.
- Performing inductions for new employees and contractors
- Reviewing and reporting on employees compliance with Health and Safety and taking required action.
- General administration of our Health and Safety Management System
- Creating TBT and SSoW in adherence to safe working practices for variety of tasks.
- Ensure all employees (including new starters) hold the relevant qualifications to do the job.
- Keeping all accreditations valid and up to date
- Work toward the implementation of ISO 45001
- Maintain accurate safety records and documentation.
- Administrative support for the industrial department including ordering working tools, PPE, and printing plates materials as requested.
Skills Required:
- Health and Safety experience in an industrial environment (3+ years)
- NEBOSH, IOSH or CMIOSH qualified (Desirable)
- Experience in all regulatory compliance (ISO's 45001) (Desirable)
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven experience of working confidentially and effectively with senior managers
- Ability to work with minimum guidance.
