We are seeking to appoint an approachable, passionate and highly skilled Manager for our 2 AA Rosette Restaurant.
The main purpose of the job is to ensure the smooth running of the department, exceeding customer expectations whilst driving sales and effectively managing the Orangery Team.
You will play a key role in establishing the Orangery as “the fine place to dine”, maintaining a regular presence and circulating freely during service to invite comments, resolve any issues and continually check on guest satisfaction.
Your main accountabilities will include:
- Leading and directing an efficient and courteous service and set up and delivery and presentation of food and beverages.
Recruitment, training, development and management of all restaurant and bar staff.
Responsible for the maintenance, cleanliness and appearance of the department, both front and back of house. Ensure all Mise-en-place duties are completed on time.
Drive sales through inspirational leadership and marketing, communicating incentives to the department and promoting and co-ordinating promotions and events e.g. Valentines, New Year’s Eve
Responsible for resolving all internal/external customer complaints.
Ensure compliance with licensing laws.
The ideal candidate will be able to provide evidence of:
A minimum of 2 years experience at Management level in a comparable food and beverage establishment.
Strong leadership and effective people management skills.
Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills, with the ability to set priorities for self and others and the ability to work under pressure and to manage a diverse workload with competing priorities.
Previous experience of controlling expenses in line with budgeted targets.
Previous experience of liquor stock control, including wastage, stock reduction, rotation of stock to achieve budgeted targets.
Previous experience of working towards sales projections and profit achievement .
High attention to detail and a passion for achieving high standards
A strong knowledge of Health and Safety Compliance, Food Hygiene and Food Safety requirements.

Availability:
The position is full time: 5 days from 7. The normal hours of work are 45 per week.
Full flexibility to work weekends, early mornings and evenings is essential to meet the commercial needs of the business.
Salary:
£40,000+ OTE
