We are currently recruiting for a day to day Nursery Assistants to support our primary schools in Kirkham to start in September, our client's building and resources are second to none and rarely found in a primary school. Ideally, a successful candidate would be familiar with Read Write Inc. phonics and if possible continuous provision, this will also be desired to support long-term applications at this school.

We are seeking TA and special support assistants to carry out the following duties:

  • To provide in-class support for either the whole class identified individual students or small groups of students (e.g. 4-5 students).
  • Under the direction of a class teacher, SENCO, to develop and lead small group work.
  • Under the direction of the class teacher, to assist and support in upholding standards of behaviour across the class.
  • To assist in delivering and producing teaching and learning materials for students, including differentiating the materials.
  • To provide regular feedback to the class teacher and to the SENDCO or the relevant line manager.
  • To support the teacher with setting up the class including the daily activities, ensuring that continuous provision is available, display boards, managing pupil journals and workbooks etc.

Essential requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications (L2/3 TA etc.)
  • High knowledge of the EYFS curriculum.
  • Classroom experience.
  • Two references from the last 5 years (1 must be a full child-based safeguarding reference)
