Are you a Pre-Construction Manager, with a background in general Construction, and exposure to working in construction projects, looking to step into a role within a formed successful team as a key player, you will play a pivotal role in their ongoing success and development, managing the front-end process for construction projects?

The company are a well known successful maincontractor. They are developing in areas, providing a complete service to clients which incorporates designand planning where appropriate.

This is a developing role and you will be responsible for overseeing all pre-construction activities related to construction projects varying from 500k to 10m. You will have strong leadership skills and technical expertise to ensure prospective projects are effectively planned, budgeted and prepared for successful execution.

The role:

  • Manage the Pre-construction process for this main contractor
  • Project Planning: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop comprehensive pre-construction plans, including scope definitions, scheduling, budgeting and resource allocation
  • Lead the bid management process, including the preparation of tender docs, bid submissions and negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favourable terms
  • Identify opportunities for value engineering to optimize project costs, improve efficiency and enhance project quality while meeting client requirements
  • Assess project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize negative impact on timelines, costs and quality
  • Act as first point of contact for key clients during the pre-construction phase
  • Lead the pre-construction team

The person:

  • Pre-Construction Manager with a background in Bid, Estimating and Construction
  • Experience within general Construction
