A leading nuclear engineering company is looking for a senior mechanical engineer to join the team on a long term contract basis for some of their most exciting projects in the nuclear space.
- Job Role - Senior Mechanical Engineer
- Location - Preston
- Contract Length - 12 Months
- Pay Rates - Up To £60 Hour Umbrella
This role will be perfect for a well experienced and knowledgeable Senior mechanical engineer who has vast time spent in the highly regulated fields and sectors associated.
Key Competencies/Experiences:
- Review, Produce and approve calculations, analyses, drawings, models, design basis documentation and technical reports as assigned.
- Assess all changes and implications of changes and concession queries
- Ensure all the design intent and integrity is maintained throughout the design lifecycle
- Ensure all technical issues are evaluated and communicated to the wider team to ensure problems can be solved accordingly.
- Provide any required support to the PM and Planning control team
- Ensure the health and safety is followed at all times
- Experience in managing the engineering scope for projects from conceptual design to full engineering.
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum HNC/HND in Engineering, or equivalent experience.in relevant engineering discipline (demonstrable experience)
- Chartered (Desired)
- Vast knowledge in nuclear/defence projects
