Freight ForwarderLocation: PrestonSalary: £25,000 - £35,000 Summary:Our client, a well-known UK Logistics company are looking, due to significant investment and expansion, to grow their existing freight forwarding team to service their growing customer base.Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage full, part load and groupage shipments, booking cargo space, and negotiating rates with carriers.
- Build upon existing working relationships with established customer, leading to organic account growth
- Dealing with existing and finding new hauliers to maximise profit share on work.
- Dealing with inbound enquiries from new customers, providing quotes and solutions.
- Full administration and communication to the customer from quote to delivery.
- Using various freight exchanges and platforms.
Skills & Experience:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to build rapport with new and existing customers.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changing situations.
- A team player who can work collaboratively with internal and external parties.
- Highly proactive with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong negotiation skills with customers and hauliers to maximise profit.
