In this role, you'll design dynamic and immersive science lessons that ignite curiosity and nurture a love for learning. Whether unravelling the mysteries of chemistry or exploring the wonders of biology, you'll guide students through a captivating journey of scientific exploration, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to excel.
We're in search of a motivated and enthusiastic teacher to join the team in Preston, offering support to students in KS3 and KS4. The daily pay rate for this role varies from £155 to £230, contingent upon your experience, qualifications, and teaching level.

Responsibilities:
- Contribute to subject development by producing, reviewing and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work
- Strong knowledge of the curriculum
- Punctual and reliable
- Teach classes allocated and provide a well planned challenging, purposeful learning environment
- Develop approach to self - directed learning, use technology to support learning
- Use assessment data to inform lesson planning
- Set homework and mark promptly
- Ensure a high quality of teaching and learning takes place
- Deal with immediate problems/emergencies according to school policy and procedures
- Respond to questioning

- Managing behaviour of pupils whilst undertaking work to ensure a constructive environment
- Strong classroom management

Personal attributes:

- Experience up to key stage 3/4
- QTS/PGCE equivalent
