Homeless Prevention – Housing Support Officers x 2

£27,896.37 per annum

37 hours per week

Location – floating support, based at Harbour House

What will you be doing in this role?

Working on one of two projects providing support to people in their own homes; you will assist our tenants to identify their goals and aspirations; to develop their skills and to overcome barriers to independent living using a range of coaching, training and support methods.

You will be providing support using a person-centred approach that promotes independence, responsibility, healthy lifestyles, and personal wellbeing and you will build relationships with them by spending quality time helping them to develop community connections.

  • Willing to learn new skills

It would be a bonus if you also had:

  • A qualification in housing or health and social care

  • Understanding or experience of drug and alcohol services, social services or those for people experiencing mental ill health

  • Have worked with people facing, or personally experienced, multiple disadvantage or homelessness

  • Housing or support experience

Working arrangements:

This role involves working in the community, but you will be based at Harbour House.

37 hrs per week; Monday to Friday.

You must hold a current driving licence and have use of a vehicle insured for business purposes.
