We are seeking SEN Teaching Assistants to work within specialist provisions in Preston and the surrounding areas. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of children and young people with a range of special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to pupils with diverse SEN needs, both in the classroom and during unstructured times.

  • Assist with personal care where required.

  • Help implement tailored learning and behaviour support plans.

  • Work closely with teachers and other staff to create a safe, nurturing environment.

  • Promote independence, confidence, and engagement in learning.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Must have previous experience in care/support, residential work, healthcare, or personal SEN support (family or friends).

  • A minimum of 2 years of professional work references within the last 5 years.

  • Must hold an Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply and pay for one.

  • Resilient, patient, and a strong team player.

  • Comfortable working in a role that may involve personal care and supporting challenging behaviours.
