This is an extremely important new role for my client and they are looking for someone with an expertise in Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) to join their team. This is a national role delivering training to both customers and in-house personnel. It could suit either someone coming from an engineer background wanting to get off the tools or a salesperson with extensive knowledge of VSDs wanting to move into a training role.

The salary will be dependent on experience and background but the package will have the great set of benefits on offer from this progressive and forward thinking business.

Position Overview

My clientis seeking a Variable Speed Drive Training Engineer who is an expert in VSDs and comes from a sales or service background. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering training courses to customers at our UK facilities and at customer premises. Additionally, they will play a crucial role in providing in-house training for Quantum staff.

Key Responsibilities

·Deliver comprehensive training courses on Variable Speed Drives to customers at my clients UK facilities in Glasgow, Newcastle, Leeds & Thurrock and at customer sites throughout the UK.

·Develop and customize training materials and modules based on customer needs and preferences.

·Provide hands-on training sessions covering theoretical presentations and practical exercises on product features, applications, installation, programming, maintenance, and fault finding.

·Conduct in-house training sessions for Quantum staff to enhance their knowledge and skills in VSDs.

·Collaborate with the sales team to identify training opportunities and support customer engagement activities.

·Stay updated on the latest developments and advancements in VSD technology to ensure training materials are current and relevant.

·Maintain training equipment and facilities to ensure a conducive learning environment for participants.

·Provide ongoing support and mentorship to trainees, including access to expert engineers for additional guidance and assistance.

·Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments and feedback mechanisms, making necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.

·Represent the business at industry events, conferences, and seminars to promote training services and build relationships with customers and partners.

Qualifications

·Preferably the relevant electrical engineering qualifications , Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

·Extensive experience and expertise in Variable Speed Drives, preferably with a background in sales or service.

·Proven track record of delivering high-quality training programs to diverse audiences.

·Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.

·Hands-on experience with VSD installation, commissioning, programming, and troubleshooting.

·Certification or accreditation in training delivery or instructional design is desirable. Ability to travel frequently to customer sites across the UK.
