Manufacturing Technician

Are you a skilled hands-on professional with experience in electro-mechanical assembly and soldering? We have an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Technician to join our cleints West Sussex-based company. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will play a crucial role in building electro-mechanical sub-assemblies, printed circuit boards, and final products while interpreting bills of materials and drawings accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble electro-mechanical sub-assemblies, printed circuit boards, and final products with precision.
  • Follow bills of materials and drawings to ensure accurate assembly.
  • Safely handle COSHH substances while cleaning and packing products, with appropriate PPE provided.
  • Document non-compliance, rework records, and any necessary build documentation changes.
  • Maintain knowledge of quality management practices, static handling precautions, and workmanship standards.
  • Contribute to a clean and organized workspace and adopt lean initiatives to reduce waste.
  • Comply with our Quality ISO9001, ISO14001 Environmental Management System, and Health and Safety Management System.
  • Collaborate within a team to achieve departmental goals and improve product quality and processes.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • Previous experience in electro-mechanical assembly and soldering.
  • Understanding of mechanical assembly procedures and processes.
  • Appreciation of modern manufacturing techniques.
  • Strong communication skills with a hands-on approach.
  • IPC standard certifications (advantageous).
