Key Responsibilities:

Deliver captivating and educational Science lessons to Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) students, ensuring comprehensive coverage of the curriculum and effective exam preparation.

Cultivate a supportive and inclusive learning atmosphere where students feel encouraged to explore intricate scientific concepts, theories, and practical applications.

Employ diverse teaching methods and resources to accommodate various learning styles and aptitudes within the classroom.

Evaluate student progress through regular formative and summative assessments, offering constructive feedback to foster their academic development.

Collaborate with colleagues within the Science department and across other disciplines to bolster interdisciplinary connections and advocate for a well-rounded educational experience.

Engage with parents/guardians to provide routine updates on student progress and address any concerns or inquiries promptly.
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification OR a degree in a relevant subject (Science or related) with demonstrated experience in teaching Science at the Key Stage 3 (KS3) and/or Key Stage 4 (KS4) level.

Profound knowledge of the Science curriculum, encompassing areas such as biology, chemistry, physics, and practical laboratory skills.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively engaging and motivating students.

Outstanding organizational abilities and adeptness in managing classroom dynamics.

Flexibility and adaptability to cover prolonged absences and maintain continuity in students' learning journeys.
