A client based in Purfleet is recruiting for a Warehouse Team Leader/Supervisor who has experiece of Forklift
Job Summary:
We are looking for a capable Warehouse Supervisor to support our company’s freight-forwarding warehouse operations. You will be responsible for organising the efficient, safe storage and shipment of cargo for export. The position requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities
- Organise the warehouse space and have full understanding of what is in the warehouse.
- Receive and organise incoming deliveries items appropriately, sign-off shipping notes and input on the system.
- To ensure every item of cargo within the warehouse is accounted for, labelled and stored within the designated area of the warehouse.
- To effectively manage the process of loading containers for export
- Communicate effectively with office staff so they can provide the necessary updates to customers
- Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimise warehousing procedures
- Abide by all company health and safety regulations
- Keep warehouse clean and organised daily
Requirements and skills
- Proven warehouse experience
- Ability to operate forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment
- Must be comfortable using a computer (in-house software training provided)
- Team player with leadership and organisational skills
- Ability to lift or move heavy products
Experience:
- Microsoft Office:
- Knowledge of Freight-Forwarding is an advantage but not essential
Licence/Certification:
- Forklift Licence (essential)
