SHEQ Advisor (Drilling/Excavation)

35,000 - 40,000 + Benefits

Are you an experienced health and safety professional who has experience in working in the drilling, construction or civil engineering sectors?

Penguin Recruitment are proud to be partnered with one of the UK's leading and fastest growing Environmental and Engineering Consultancies, who have seen tremendous year-on-year growth and due to new continued success, are looking to recruit a SHEQ Advisor to join their Technical Services team.

As a SHEQ Advisor, you will be responsible for ensuring drilling, excavation and land remediation projects comply with current HSEQ legislation and that safety policies and practices are properly adopted and adhered to. You will conduct regular site inspections and audits, review risk assessment and method statements, lead incident/accident investigations, deliver training and provide specialist advice and support in all technical matters related to drilling and safe excavation.

The successful SHEQ Advisor will have previous experience working on drilling and excavation projects and will have good knowledge of HSG47, PAS 128 and temporary work management.

Additional requirements include:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience working in health and safety role in the drilling, construction or civil engineering sectors
  • NEBOSH General certificate and membership of IOSH
  • Experience with ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 management systems
  • Excellent working knowledge of CDM2015 and health and safety legislation
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • A full UK driving license, along with a flexible approach to travel
  • Experience in delivering health and safety training
