Job Title: Slinger / Banksman
Location: Ramsgate, United Kingdom
We're in search of a skilled Slinger / Banksman to join our client's team in Ramsgate. In this role, you'll be crucial in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials and equipment on our client's construction sites.
Responsibilities:
- Guide the safe movement of cranes and heavy machinery on-site.
- Use standard hand signals to direct crane operators in lifting and moving loads.
- Assist in loading and unloading materials and equipment safely.
- Always uphold health and safety regulations.
- Coordinate closely with crane operators and site supervisors for smooth lifts.
- Maintain clear communication with all team members.
Requirements:
- Hold a valid CPCS (Construction Plant Competence Scheme) or NPORS (National Plant Operators Registration Scheme) card.
- Have a valid Slinger / Banksman ticket or qualification.
- Proven experience as a Slinger / Banksman in construction.
- Understand crane operations and lifting procedures well.
- Work well within a team.
- Excellent communication and observational skills.
- Committed to maintaining a safe work environment.
