Responsibilities

Due tor retirement,our client islooking for an experiencedCommercial Non-Motor SME Renewals Account Handler.

Cases range from Package business to SME in the main across a range of classes of business (all commercial). You will be responsible for managing a portfolio ofclients, providing exceptional service and tailored insurance solutions to meet their needs.

You should thereore posses a broad knowledge of commercial insurance classes and becomfortable dealing with a book of renewals which averages in the region of 30-40 per month.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact forclients, building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Understand clients' insurance requirements and recommend appropriate coverage options.
  • Negotiate insurance terms and premiums with underwriters on behalf of clients.
  • Prepare and present insurance proposals and renewal terms to clients.
  • Process insurance policies, endorsements, and cancellations accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist clients with claims management, liaising with insurers and loss adjusters as necessary.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and developments in insurance products and services.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent and high-quality service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate client records and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Key Skills and Experience:

Essential:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the insurance industry, in commercialinsurance.
  • Strong understanding of insurance products, coverage options, and underwriting processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience of working with online portals relevant to the insurance industry

Desirable:

  • Professional insurance qualifications (e.g., CII).
  • Knowledge of commercial insurance markets and regulatory requirements.
